Jonathan Smith of JMS Carpentry & Joinery Limited has achieved credits in 'The Advanced Craft Certificate In Carpentry & Joinery' from the City & Guilds, London Institute under the headings of:
* General Carpentry & Joinery
* Purpose-Made Joinery
We predominantly work on-site & have covered all avenues of work, ranging from domestic, commercial, through to industrial projects.
Having expanded over the years to build up a strong customer base, we now operate from a purpose built workshop, making custom-made joinery.
Our core work is the 1st and 2nd fixing of residential properties. This includes: roofs - both cut & trussed; door casings; doors; architraves; skirtings; wardrobes; kitchens; studwork & plaster-boarding; gutters; stairs; flooring; cupboards & purpose-made timber items.

Specialist Services
One of our specialist areas is the manufacture of Bespoke Kitchens. We are able to make units and doors to fit the customers' exact and often highly individual requirements.
On the Commercial side, we have fitted out shops and offices including fire doors and safety glass.
We have a Heritage division. Here, we recently fitted out the vestry of All Saints Church in Stamford with new purpose-made cupboards to house their robes. A similar job to this was our fitting of a new section of roof to the offices of Stamford Town Cemetery.
We can undertake repair work to any windows and doors, whatever their timber components might be. We use the 'Window Care System' which is a poxy resin, it doesn't shrink or crack like normal two-part fillers over a period of time and then treated as normal timber.
